TONY GREEN - A Thanksgiving Service took place on April 11th at Bradley Chapel for the Life and Work of Tony Green of Top Farm, Bradley, who died on April 2nd aged 87.
The Service was conducted by Rev Jane Stephenson from St. Mary’s Tilston, with Mr Michael Valentine, Methodist Chapel Steward, and organist Gwen Reeves.
Tony was born in Crewe, and after working an apprenticeship with Rolls Royce assembling engines for Spitfires, moved to Tushingham , for health reasons, to work on his Uncle’s farm.
Here he met Joyce, and they were married in 1950. Tony began to attend Bradley Chapel with Joyce in 1944, and became Chapel Steward in 1979, continuing until his health deteriorated in January 2012.
He combined his farming life with a Letterpress Printing business, and, in recent years, used his computer skills to extend this interest.
The family would like to thank all who gave very generous donations to Cloverfields Nursing Home in memory of Tony.
Arrangements: Rolfes Funeral Service, Station Road Whitchurch.
